Ron Paul and his message

There is a point in time when an immigrant decides to accept a new country as his/her new country. Immigrants throughout history have progressed because the alternative to turn back is not a choice. We, immmigrants, have to succeed and we are willing to work hard to achieve it. When we contiously select to become US citizens we accept the basic values that the US was founded upon. Our experiences in our birth countries allow us to appreciate the principles of freedom because we raise our right hand and sware to uphold them:

We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, That they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these Ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute a new Government, laying its Foundations on such Principles and organizing its Powers in such Form, as to Them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

As American citizens we have the most important right, which is the right to exercise our vote with independence of thought. We expect others to respect us as individuals as we must respect others, even when our opinions my be different. But we must be critical and cast our votes in particular when personal liberties are infringed.

One person, one vote. This is more powerful than any weapon. Some people disregard their vote while others cast it. Why would a nation pay so little attention to our precious "right to vote" and not defend it? We all must defend the right that all citizens have, the right to vote, no matter for what side they vote. (See video below)

The US is a great nation because of its people; because in time of need and in critical times people rise up to the call of duty and stand together and strong on the principles which it was founded. This is why a candidate like Dr. Ron Paul stands strong and unites. While others disregard personal freedoms and the rights of others, even those of other countries and citizens of those countries, Dr. Paul questions our current state of affairs and reminds us that America was founded on "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness" for all, not just American citizens but for all citizens of the world.

While some people choose to mock and laugh at Dr. Paul, it is encouraging that Dr. Paul stands proud and confident in face of that mockery because he knows he stands on the principles of America and he knows Americans stand with him. (See video below)

As we grow individually and as a nation perhaps we should considere the words of Pastor Martin Niemöller:

"In Germany, they came first for the Communists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist;
And then they came for the trade unionists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist;
And then they came for the Jews, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew;
And then . . . they came for me . . . And by that time there was no one left to speak up."

When people come after others, like the media mocks Dr. Paul or citizens are prevented from voting, we must speak up because they are comming after us and our alienable rights.
